What is Furby a Boom?

Furby Boom is an interactive electronic toy resembling a hamster with owl-like face or somewhat similar to a gremlin. The first version of Furby was introduced at the American International Toy Fair in 1998. Furby was revived in 2005 with release of new Furbies. These Furbies had many changes and improvements including voice-recognition and sensor active facial movements. Many varieties of Emoto-Tronic Furbies (Furby, Furby Baby and Funky Furby) continued to be sold until late 2007 then gradually it became rare and kind of disappeared. In the fall of 2012 a new line of Furbies were released by Hasbro intending for the holiday season. These ones had more expressive LCD eyes and wider range of body & facial movements. The new Furby had its own iOS (Inter-network operating System or more commonly iPhone OS) and Android app. It had adaptive personalities in reaction to user behavior. In the summer of 2013 Hasbro released theĀ  most recent version of Furbies known as Furby Boom. This new furby has “A Mind of its Own” and many new personalities. They are also available in many new colors.
